Located 304m high on a mountain in the Ordal chain. During the “Marca Hispánica” age the castle was a fortified observation point of the West lands, where the Saracen attacks came from. It was a fortified walled square until the middle of the 10th century.

The historical centre of Subirats, it is the first castle in the Penedès region to have been documented, with references dating from the year 971. Next to it is the Sanctuary of Mare de Déu de la Fontsanta.

Population centre of Torre-Ramona: Torre-Ramona is a Gothic palace-house from the 16th century which has given its name to the town and which still preserves the old fortification with a crenelated wall. It is one of the few rural palaces from that age that are known in the Penedès region. It may be unique and as such is very appreciated.
